The Borderlands Line

The Borderlands Line

With panoramic views and fascinating places, there is so much to see and do. Visit Wrexham, with its mix of traditional markets and new shopping areas, overlooked by the tower of St. Giles Parish Church, one of the Seven Wonders of Wales. Spend time in villages steeped in history, such as Hawarden, with its 16th-century half-timbered houses. Or go ice skating at Deeside Ice Rink, just a few minutes walk away from Shotton Station. Drop in on Neston, with its Friday market and specialist shops. Bidston connects to a Merseyrail train every 15 minutes (30 minutes Evenings and Sundays) to go to Birkenhead, with its shopping centre and market, or Liverpool Central for the Albert Dock and fabulous Beatles Story.

Suggested Itinerary: Ness Gardens
This is one of the country’s leading botanical Gardens with a visitor centre and restaurant. It is a wonderful place to visit and offers something for everyone. It is a place to sit and admire the stunning views across the Dee estuary and offers a sanctuary away from the chaos of everyday life. Why not visit this garden for all seasons? Ness gardens are approximately 2 miles from Neston station and a bus connection is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. For full details of these services contact Traveline Cymru.
